Do you r kids love using pony beads or fushion beads to make crafts parchment paper and iron? Those fusion beads are great for helping kids work on fine motor skills as they carefully move each tiny bead to make a holiday picture. This Christmas craft for toddlers, preschoolers, kindergartners, and grade 1 students is even more simple! Instead of taking an hour to move each bead to just the right spot, you will dump them all into a mold and bake them to make stunningly beautiful Melted Bead Ornaments  of many colors!

Perler bead ornaments

All you need for this fusion bead ornaments are a few simple craft supplies including the following materials:

melted fushion beads (aka perler beads)

Christmas ornaments for kids to make

Basically you just put a handful of perler beads in each of the muffin tins. It will be several layers because you want your ornaments to be at least a 1/2” thick.  Hint: Use a shaped silicon pan for the best results!

Put pan in oven that has been preheated to 375 F. Bake for about 20 minutes (or until beads have completely melted without any holes)

Allow the beads to cool and set for about 5 minutes. Pushing from the bottom just pop the Melted Perler Bead Silicon Ornaments out.

Press an ornament hook in the top to hang.
